Quality knife!
A beautiful knife! Blade has a nice belly to it as well as a slight recurve. The arc lock works flawlessly, and the handle fits great in the hand. The only downsides in my opinion is that there isn't a pocketclip on it... Another thing that could have been better is that the shoulders on the kraton scales could have been more rounded off to make it more comfortable. All over a great quality knife that will serve you for a long long time!

brought a tear to my eye...
The Tomcat has everything I look for in a folder: 1. Full steel liners 2. Thick, premium steel blade that comes razor sharp 3. Super strong lock. The arc lock puts liner/frame locks to shame. 4. Looks wicked when open. The kraton handles are grippy, but the only thing I might change is to replace them with G10. Or at least offer it. The price is also a winner. Compare this to the price of other companies flagship models. I can't believe a Strider is any better than a Tomcat. Strider knives have one handle slab that is just plastic!! For $400 bucks or more? Gimme a break. Yeah, I know titanium framelock on one side and G10 on the other is the hot trend in folders right now, but don't get fooled: Good old steel, on BOTH sides won't let you down. Highly reccomended.

Best Pocket Folder EVER!
In 1989,I was stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washingtong,D.C. I needed a good folding defense knife. I bought the original Tom Cat in a mall knife store. OMG! The best blade lock ever, more like a straight edge than a folder. Thick, sharp blade that will go threw car hood. If this new Tom Cat is ANYTHING like mine,at the price,it will be the best folder you will ever buy!

The best!!!!!!
I have about 20 assorted folding knives. This one by far is the BEST. Smoothest locking mechanism I have ever experienced. Fits my hand very naturally. Sharp as a razor out of the box. I am very impressed and I do not impress easy. I will be ordering another one for the left hand.

Excellent folder
20 yrs ago I bought one of these for my 17 yr old son for hunting. It was an excellent choice. The knife takes an edge and holds an edge. It will field dress an elk without needing resharpening half way through and has done about 25 since I bought it, counting various friends. The blade is thick enough and the lock is sturdy enough to cut through the toughest joints easily. The Kraton handle feels good in the hand and does not slip when it and the hands are covered in blood. The blade has enough belly for careful skinning and the point can effectively puncture when needed. The only hunting knife I have that I think is better is a 40 year old Chubby Hueske semi-skinner in D2. But he can put this one in his pocket.
