Cara Cara 2 a very good edc
A few weeks ago I was considering buying my first Spyderco but I was not sure how to choose a multi purpose edc... Luckely I came across the more than twenty reviews on the black handle Cara Caras and decided that this brown Cara Cara might be a good first choice before spending more money on an Endura.. I am very pleased with my choice because; * the 8cr13 mov steel for the blade is a fine all purpose edc steel., although some steel snobs do not favor it. It holds an edge for a long time if not abused and came very sharp on delivery. Further; this steel is very easy to sharpen and it comes with a full flat grind which makes sharpening even easier. * The ergos on this knife are fantastic. It features a fifty/fifty handle and spine jimped choil for a great hand and thumb grip as well as a deep pebble grain cut handle, giving a very secure hand grip. * Strong construction. The knife is made with five structural screws around the frame as well as three screws securing the easy on/off clip. * The knife blade snaps open with authority with very little effort from the thumb * The blade locks up perfectly centered and secure. No movement or wiggle. The knife is light and a little on the thin side which may not be perfect for a user with XL hands. For me however the handles are a good fit. You can always take points away from a knife for nit picking reasons, but I think that based on what you get with this brown Cara Cara this is a worth five star rating.
