I use it for utility/paring, just like the name suggests. I'm not usually a fan of serrated blades, but I find myself picking this one up over and over. The serrations just seem to back up the sharpness, rather than turning the knife into a saw. This knife is great for cutting up an orange, or slicing open an avocado and then digging in to the pit to twist it out, or even slicing off thin layers of cheese. Very handy little knife. I keep it on a magnetic strip so it's always within reach. And it won't bust your budget either.
