Description
KA3189: 3189 Folding Hunter
KA-BAR Knives

The KA-BAR Folding Hunter is designed with a nod to nostalgia as it rekindles the features of the old KA-BAR model 1189, a design popular for years with customers because of it's straight forward lock and traditional clip point folding blade. The old 1189 featured wood handles and was carried in a pouch or pocket, whereas the 3189 has been updated with more modern G10 handle scales and a pocket clip for more convenient carry.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Lock Type, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Solid and very safe to open with one hand
Solid: I use it in the military all day for anything and everything and I'm not gentle with it because it is cheap. Feels very safe to open with one hand: Can be opened with a strong and loud locking "click" under just a short strong push of the thumb straight up: Minimum motion of thumb and it hits hard the full extension each times. Hope this help!

Pros: Overall Quality, Lock Type, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: None
Good knife , good price
This knife is what I ordered : A large lockback EDC work-knife folder w/ a pocket clip . Period . Nothing flashy, ornate,or tactical . The entire knife is a matte grey color w/ the exception of the scales which are a smooth G-10 . The blade is razor sharp out of the packaging . The lock / blade is stiff : Needs oil +some exercise to work smoothly . The thumbstuds at the base of the blade are useless : Opening this knife is a 2-handed job . Jimping on the spine affords some stability , but for the most part is too far forward to be of much use . A lot of knife for a little money .
