SP46 Bob Lum CLIPIT by Spyderco® PRESS RELEASE
Lum, in Chinese means forest. Written in Chinese characters, the name Lum can be found on all of Bob's knives. His love of Japanese style cutlery influenced him to become the first custom knifemaker to make strong tactical folders with Tanto-shaped blades, using exotic materials and clean flowing lines. The SP46 Bob Lum CLIPIT exudes a Japanese flavor with refined lines and a Tanto-style blade. The 3 13/16 inch (97mm) hollow-ground blade is made of ATS-55 stainless steel and features the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole. The hole, for one-hand opening and closing, creates a hump on the top of the blade which has been angled giving the thumb a gripping point for added control while cutting. Recognizably unique, the Tanto shaped blade is thick at the tip providing extra strength. A bead-blasted titanium handle ergonomically fits the hand and sports a stainless steel clip for tip-up pocket carry. During opening/closing, the action is smooth and the blade locks open by means of a Locking Liner. Bob Lum's renowned attention to detail and craftsmanship and Spyderco's reputation for quality, are evident in the lined lanyard hole, and the smoothly finished handle spacers. The folder weighs just 5.1 ounces (145 grams)
