Welcome to Vero Engineering, a family-run business proudly based in the USA. Founded by Joseph Vero, a mechanical engineer and graduate of Florida Atlantic University, Vero Engineering was built on a lifelong passion for design and problem-solving.
Joseph’s journey began with a fascination for understanding how things work. As a child, he loved taking things apart, though not always putting them back together. This curiosity eventually led to a career in mechanical engineering and a role designing cutting-edge tech for law enforcement. But it was his grandfathers’ pocket knives, cherished for their utility and sentiment, that sparked Joseph’s interest in knife design and laid the foundation for Vero Engineering.
in 2018, Joseph sketched his first knife design in CAD during some free time at home. That design became the Impulse, Vero Engineering's first knife. With innovative features like the Vero Flipper, a hidden flipper tab that enhances ergonomics and aesthetics, the Impulse set a new standard in knife design and quickly gained recognition at the 2019 Blade Show.
At Vero Engineering, family is at the heart of everything. Joseph works alongside his team, including his wife, sister, and even his two young sons, Declan and Greyson (when they're not in school). Together, they combine engineering expertise, creativity, and a shared commitment to quality. This family-driven approach brings a personal touch to every design, ensuring each product is made with care and purpose.
