In 2016, a group of early Tekto founders returned from an expedition in the backwoods of Maine disillusioned by how poorly many top-name knives performed in the harsh northeastern conditions. That experience sparked a dedicated research and development effort that would ultimately give rise to Tekto. Today, the brand is known for precision-built out-the-front automatic knives engineered to meet the expectations of the most demanding users—those who rely on their tools when it matters most.
