TIMELINE

1892 Webster L. Marble forms Gladstone Mfg. Co.™

1893 The first Pocket Folding Axes designed and built. (18)

1894 W. L. Marble returns to his land appraisal business.

1897 W. L. Marble designs, prototypes, and tests his new Safety Axe.

1898 W. L. Marble applies for and is granted his Safety Axe patent.

1898 Marble’s Safety Axe Co.™ is incorporated.

1898 First production facility is built.

1899 Marble products shown at a sport show in New York City.

1911 The company becomes "Marble Arms & Mfg. Co.™"

1930 Webster L. Marble dies.

1930 William Marble becomes Corporate President.

1953 The company renamed the "Marble Arms Corporation™."

1957 Marble Arms™ is purchased by Bell & Gossett Inc.

1966 New plant built at present location.

1984 Marble Arms™ purchases Poly-Choke®.

1994 CRL Inc. purchases Marble Arms™/Poly-Choke®.

1998 100th Anniversary of Incorporation.

2001 Marble Arms™ becomes Marble's Outdoors® .

2001 George T. Brinkley joins Marble's Outdoors® as Chairman and CEO.

2003 Poly-Choke sold.

2004 George T. Brinkley purchases Marble's® Brands and Cutlery Division.
