The Alpha is the second button lock model from ADV, although judging from the name, it is quite possible that Andre came up with this design before the Pitboss. Regardless, we must say that he absolutely nailed both the aesthetics and ergonomics in each and every way. Pushing in the large rectangular button releases the blade, dropping it freely closed as fast as it flies open, and the inlay is just icing on the cake. The pocket clip and large handle allow you to easily grip the knife with your fingers clear from the path of the blade so you're never in any danger. It makes handling the Alpha an absolute treat and the ergonomics are fantastic for medium to large-sized hands. It features a partial titanium backspacer with an integral lanyard hole, right-hand titanium pocket clip, and secondary safety that locks the blade both open and closed. This is another excellent ADV knife and, in our opinion, one of the best designs he has ever delivered. Wave feature is removable with a simple Torx screw.
