Great for use as a rope, but perhaps not for crafting.
I purchased this to be used for paracord crafting, and I wanted a stiffer cord. Well, I got too much of it with this cord. The jacket is very stiff and non-pliable. It is easier to work with than polyester cord, but the problem is that the jacket and the inner strands don’t work well together. When cutting the cord with wire cutters, the cord bursts open a lot, and the jacket often retracts far from the inner cords. This wouldn’t really be a big issue, but once the components are aligned again and the ends are melted, it is very difficult to get the jacket to adhere well to the melted inner strands. The jacket still pulls away very easily. I have had to cut off a small length of inner strands in order to melt and seal the jacket to itself at times to close off the cord well. The stiffness of the jacket is also difficult to work with in some instances, but may be useful in other situations. With all this said, this is by no means poor quality paracord. It feels very well made and robust. It just may be helpful to know its characteristics before purchasing it. It is very reasonably priced though, and I wish it worked better for me.

Paracord has 7 strands, you hear? well, yea... usually
I bought this about 2 years ago, few weeks ago (or even few months ago) i gutted the cord for the first time to make some lanyard. What i realized, is that this paracord has 6 strands instead of 7 strands that paracords are famous for.this doesn't stop me at all. trust me, this is a good product, and so far it has yet to disappoint performance-wise. I'm not a parachuter nor soldier so i don't need 550 pounds of strength (yet).but i thought what i realized must be known for other buyers..... * it could be a manufacture error that's only for mine, but what i find is it...

Amazing!
It is simply amazing. I use it to climb small obstacles all the time and it has never failed me yet.
