The Peanut Has Become One Of My Favorites
I bought mine back in January 2008. And since then 90% of the time, I grab this to put in my pocket. I have about 40 Case knives and many other brands as well. I use to rotate my carry knife. I still do somewhat. But the Peanut is normally one of them. If I only carry one, it is a Sod Buster Jr. But most of the time I carry a Peanut and a Sod Buster Jr. I went away for a week and I purposely didn't take either with me. I took 4 different Case knives to chose from each day. All week I wish I had the Jr and my Peanut. There's nothing wrong with the ones I took. I have just grown to love these knives. These are all the knives I need. I buy others and will continue to. But it will take a special knife to replace my Peanuts and Jr's. as my main EDC's. Fit and finish is perfect. It was not very sharp. But that doesn't bother me as I always put my own edge on any knife I plan on carrying. The blade steel is better than people think. They go by the type of steel and don't even try them. But the most important thing for blade sharpness and retention is the heat treat. You can have a middle of the road steel, but give it the best heat treatment that steel can get and it will outperform a better steel with a not so good heat treatment. And Case has nailed the heat treatment of their knife steels.

Beautiful American made knife at the rite price
This knife was purchased as a gift for my father-in-law after our family stayed with him in Maine this summer. I own one of these knives and therefore I was familiar with the quality and wanted to get him something nice. Case are beautiful knives and it is even better that they are American made. Based on what I saw him using his old pocket knife for I suspect he will so the same with this i.e., working in the garden and as a general purpose tool. The detail on the knife is first rate and the blades are easy to sharpen and hold their edge well. This knife is also the perfect size for keeping in your pocket and goes un-noticed in your pockets as well.

CASE is the best
Nice compact size pocket knife. Blades are honed sharp, out of the box. Quality materials and workmanship.
