Pros: Usable
Cons: Blade Material
Heavy for bushcraft
I use the Condor Waki as a bush tool and weapon in bear country. It is heavy for clearing, wears out your arm in prolonged clearing ops. It is an okay digger. Quality of the steel is what you paid for---okay. It doesn't sharpen easily and doesn't hold an edge long. It cleaves well until the blade dulls, which comes fast. The blade should be 1 mm thinner. But I bought it for a weapon first and brush cutter secondly. It wouldn't be my first choice again. No lanyard hole in handle. The hilt is unecessarily heavy. It feels like a Third World piece. But the design is excellent===about perfect reach for my frame. If you want a combat weapon this might do for you. But If you need a balanced piece, good on katas and good on brush too, look elsewhere.
