THEE 1ST COLD STEEL WARRIOR SERIES WAKAZASHI REVIEW!
Wakazashi (Long Handle by Cold Steel)This thing is AMAZING! This War Ready weapon feels VERY WELL BALANCED in hand! It is blade heavy, but the full length katana handle gives it a great counter balance. It feels like a balanced meat cleaver! This thing is a REAL weapon; A WAR READY weapon! Forget “Battle Ready.” When you have this thing in your hands FOR REAL... IN REAL LIFE, you feel like you are ready for WAR! And it’s only the wakazashi! I can’t even imagine the Warrior Series Katana, the Warrior Series O-KATANA! Or even the NODACHI! Because I know I am ready for WAR with this Warrior Wakazashi (Long Handle) from Cold Steel!This is a PERFECT home defense, close quarters combat weapon! And it is a serious weapon! This is my 1st REAL Ninja sword, Katana, sword, wakazashi what ever word you want to use; I’ve had the cheap crap when I was younger that I “though were real swords.” -No! They don’t even come close to the robust, thick, tough durability of this weapon! This weapon is far ahead of them all!The wrap is EXTREMELY tight! The handle is perfect! It is thin enough; but thick enough to fill your hands VERY nicely! This thing smells like iron; like sharpened metal shavings. The ray-skin is hardened and grippy, it grips and digs into your skin for a perfect grip. The scabbard is like holding air! Very light, it’s like it floats in the air. Very well polished! This thing looks so ancient and authentic, I feel like I can feel some of the history of this magnificent weapon! I am very pleased with this weapon! There are some things I have against this weapon though. There are fine burrs in the edge. It is still sharp, but not refined katana, razor sharp. When I pick this hefty, heavy weapon up and I grab it by the guard and try to wobble it back and forth the guard does move just a millimeter. There is a YouTube video of a guy dissembling a Cold Steel Warrior Series Chisa Katana, so that may explain why the guard JUST MINORLY shifted. It is on there very tight! But when I pick the whole sword up by the guard with two hands and wobble it back and forth, it moves a millimeter. And the shiny brass piece that meets where the blade and handle connect could be more refined and polished, and cleaned up more; It looks good, but it could be waay better refined and polished up. I would honestly give this a 4.8 out of 5 stars. But it still is SO COOL!This thing feels SO GOOD in the hand(s)! So balanced, but yet blade heavy enough to make you have full confidence in severing limbs off! Everything I stab this against: The wood floor, the wooden doors, the wall, the sturdyness of this weapon just feels like it can push through them all! And this blade thickness is unreal! It’s like holding up a flat, thick bar that’s sharpened. This thing makes you feel like you can take on every, and anything in its way. What a PHENOMENAL piece! I am happy with my purchase! I am going to train with this ALOT! I’m curious to see what the Warrior Series Katana is like, and what the Warrior Series O-Katana is like! Because THIS long handle Warrior Wakazashi... feels AMAZING! What a great piece; what a great weapon! Well done Cold Steel. This is a REAL weapon!
