CS91PDRRZ: 91PDRRZ Lucky Dragon Walking Stick

Cold Steel

The mythical dragon has captured the imagination of man for centuries. Asian folklore casts them as benign creatures, man's allies in a hostile world, or as symbols of imperial Chinese power, used as motifs on palace walls, and on soldier's breastplates. In the West, they were known to be fierce adversaries, fire breathing, clever beasts who rained destruction and leveled villages. The brave knight who slew one could return to his village after winning the hand of the fetching fair maiden he saved from the dragon's wrath.

Legends aside, a dragon is a powerful creature possessed of extraordinary physical attributes, which command respect across the board. It is for this reason, Cold Steel has chosen to use the dragon as the inspiration for this awesome walking stick. It is modeled after an intricately carved Dragon Stick from their President, Lynn C. Thompson's collection and is reproduced using expensive, hand engraved injection molds. The detailing is astonishing, with scales running the full length of the undulating shaft, and a fearsome face with snarling fangs, it is an imposing stick you'll be proud to be seen with on almost any occasion.

It is fashioned, like many of Cold Steel's other walking sticks, from the highest grade of high impact polypropylene available, assuring its imperviousness to the elements and guaranteeing it is virtually indestructible. Red in color and sinuous in shape and form, it offers light to medium support and a number of grip options making it unusually suitable as an aid to balance as well as a powerful ally in an emergency self-defense situation.

good looking solid
Since having 3 knee surgeries , still have to wear hinged knee brace , somedays the knee just says "Nope aint going work today" , The cane gives good support , I did have to trim about 1 " off bottom , and got a good cane tip at local Rite Aid store , have got some good comments on the color and design of my Red Dragon cane too . and just incase I know this cane will be a good " Attitude Adjuster " also :) Only thing had to do was smooth the lines of the dragon head a little irritating to palm of hand if walking for awhile .

Great item very happy
Makes a great cane. I have problems since motorcycle accident in 2008. This needed a little customization (Cut to needed length & put a 1 inch crutch tip) and perfect walking aid.

I love the look of a different walking stick!!!
As I grew older, I sadly discovered arthritis in my right ankle. When I apply weight on that joint it feels like it is full of ground glass. Being severely overweight is no help at all. I'm losing weight but I still have to walk. My largest problem in finding a walking stick was first it's height, I'm 6'2" and it's ability to support a 400 pound person. The Lucky Dragon Walking Stick does both and I love the looks I get when I'm using it. If there were one aspect of the walking stick that I'd change it is what I'd call a design flaw - the bottom on the stick is too fat. I realize it needs to be cut to length but its diameter is too large to take a walking stick's rubber foot. If you've ever tried to walk across a highly polished surface with a plastic stick, you'll understand my concern. I'd hoped to apply a brass/rubber tip but it needs a large rubber foot, like you'd put on a chair, which immediately robs the stick of it sexy look. Otherwise, I'm loving having it and walking with it.
