Essential skillet spatula
For going on 20 years this particular model of spatula has been a household favorite, the tool of choice for browning meats and deglazing, sauteing onions and veggies, frying potatoes and omelets, lifting cookies and other baked goods. Oh, and yes, it does pretty well at flipping pancakes, too! I don't know why Dexter has given this all-around super-friendly cooking spatula the limiting name of "Mini Pancake Turner," as if all it's good for is flipping dollar pancakes. Despite being in constant use (sometimes getting washed once or twice to cook different parts of the same meal), our trusty spatula looks almost as new as the day we bought it thanks to the solid construction and good materials. My husband has really been missing it while cooking at our camp, so I thought I'd look for one just like it for our camp kitchen, a perfect Christmas gift for my skillet man! After looking in vain at all our local cookware stores, I carefully measured the blade, typed in Dexter (from the worn name on the handle), and was pleased to be able to find and order the exact same spatula from the Knife Center at a reasonable price for a utensil of this quality.
