Best bang for buck option out there
This is a great little tomahawk when you consider the price it's sold for. It feels solid and should last decades with proper care. This wouldn't be an option if I was doing any sort of bushcraft but for more 'tactical' operations like chopping through a room door or using the spike to break automotive glass, this thing excels as it is a true one-handed hawk that isn't limited by tight spaces. The cons list are that mine came relatively dull- the edge was dull even from a 'tool edge' standpoint so I spent 20 minutes getting it to what I consider usable. You also aren't getting a super steel by any means and the paint has already started to chip off in some areas where it makes contact with the sheathe's internal buttons. Finally, the last thing is subjective but I feel that the bottom of the handle is a bit too big for use unless you have large hands. All in all, it's a great choice once your sharpen it and get a better sheathe. Throw it in your car's emergency bag and forget about it until you need it.

Top quality from a legacy brand
My father owned a hardware store back in the 60's and 70's and sold Estwing hammers. They cost more than the other brands he carried but you could tell they were better quality and seemed to be favored by professional carpenters and tradesmen. I've wanted a tomahawk to carry in my car's emergency kit and ordered this Black Eagle as soon as I saw it on the KC website. It's nicely balanced, not too big, but big enough to handle any job most folks would need a tomahawk for. The one piece construction means it should last a lifetime. The comfortable rubber handle is a nice bonus. There are dozens of fancy 'tactical' tommy's on the market for a lot more money but this Estwing is a bargain alternative you won't be afraid of actually using.

Great product ! What can I say it's Eastwing . I have yoused their products for twenty years and they never let me down. This tomahawk is constructed one piece forged steel it's basically their hammer with tomahawk head on it . Basically industryctable two piece tomahawks , have a tendency to loosen weather it's wood or glass filled screwed handle when in use you don't want that problem it then becomes a safety issue . Thanks again Estwing , for trying to keep America strong!
