MISSION

Exotac set out to produce the first rugged, waterproof, refillable lighter on the market and that goal was achieved with the titanLIGHT. The titanLIGHT is a precision machined, ultra-durable waterproof lighter that uses standard lighter fluid as fuel (Zippo or equivalent). Two O-ring seals prevent your fuel from evaporating or leaking when it's not in use. 

ESSENTIALS

The titanLIGHT uses patent-pending air vents below the flame to reduce wind disturbance along with a flame guard that is designed to provide maximum protection against wind gust. A small screw-off cap on the bottom of the lighter body is used to both refill with lighter fluid and to service the wick. The flame guard can also be removed without tools by press the small brass pin through while holding the flame guard down.

TIPS

To refill, unscrew the bottom cap and be careful not to overfill (Approx. 3mL). To replace the flint, simply press the small brass pin through while holding the flame guard down then pull off the flame guard to access the flint and spring. Watch for small spring and remainder of flint to fall out.

Exotac 5500 titanLIGHT
A very nice lighter, the Exotac Titan refillable.I got this as an emergency lighter along with a Exotac XL ferro rod and more items. Got them in a small case for whenever needed. The lighter works great and the fluid will last along time due to its sealed design. It is dependable. Follow instructions on not over filling it. If you do, remove the cap for a little while, the lighter will dry and fluid will evaporate. Let adults be in charge of the lighter. It's an adult lighter only I would say. This lighter will last. Nicest one I've had.

Excellent lighter, but note this
Turn lighter UPSIDE DOWN before opening . This allows any excess fuel.to drip into top cap. Replace fuel.and screw on bottom cap. Wipe lighter and hands off COMPLETELY dry before striking. Lighter can use ZIPPO.flint and extra additional .parts are available in various places. The lighter does IME. require filling as you normally would a ZIPPO.on the first filling to fully saturate . When flame gets low add additional capful. Lighter is waterproof up to 2 feet for about an hour, wind resistant and as long as Orings are maintained can hold fluid for years without use. Excellent product
