The Global GF-24 Carving Fork is a perfect match for any of Global's carving knives. As with their knives, Global uses a hollow handle which is then filled with just the right amount of sand to create the correct balance for this carving fork. Global uses this method of balancing for two reasons. First, it is a far more precise than using a tang and a bolster. Second, Asian knives typically do not have bolsters, since they only serve as a hindrance to cutting and sharpening. The carving fork is made of 18/10 stainless steel. The prongs are drop forged and non-flexible. Made in Japan.
