Made here in the US with Camellia Oil, KPL's Tsubaki kitchen knife oil is perfect for those who enjoy using carbon steel kitchen knives and cast iron cookware over modern stainless options. While you won't want to use Tsubaki oil for seasoning your cast iron, it will be an excellent sealant for in-between use to prevent loss of seasoning and inhibit rust build-up. KPL's Tsubaki oil is organic, food-safe, and full of Omega-9. It was originally used as a high-end preservative for maintaining swords, fine tools, and other cutlery in Japan. Camellia is preferred due to its imparting no taste to foods, while also displacing moisture, forming an oxygen barrier, and preventing rust and pitting. To apply properly, Wash your knife as you would normally with soap and water, wipe dry completely, spray oil on the knife's surface, and gently buff away leaving a thin film on all metal surfaces.
