The Design Process

When designing the Titan, innovation led the development of this design. The INTERLOCK mechanism is a robust coil spring-based interface, with multiple modes of actuation both from its spine and its side plates. This lock served as our design limitation for this model and challenged us in figuring out how to make the sleekest design possible while incorporating something totally new.

The obvious standout feature, however, for the Titan is its size. Coming in at a nine-inch overall length, the Titan is not your typical size range for EDC. Typically, though, one would associate size with weight. The Titan shocks again with its surprisingly low weight of approximately six ounces! This allows the Titan to be the perfect EDC in and out of the office!

Lastly, the newest feature, looking to be implemented into more future models but debuting on the Titan, is the faux wire clip. This is a fully milled, titanium pocket clip, emulating the key features of a typical wire clip: functionality and subtlety. This design is combining the best of both worlds, using durable and stylish titanium in combination with a functional form, fitting of a design of this caliber.
