Magazine/Knife/Tool Sheath. Adj. lid; elastic retention.

MAXPEDITION's durable single sheath can hold an extra flashlight, small cellular phone, multitool, folding knife, or handgun magazine. It can also be attached to your backpack as an accessory or be carried on the belt upright or sideways. The length of sheath lids (both Single Sheath and Double Sheath) are adjustable with internal Velcro attachments for longer items or are completely removable for those who want the quickest access.

Pros: Overall Quality, Durability, Carry Position

Outstanding and field tested product
I use many of these sheaths in the horizontal position and have absolutely no problem with access quickly and effectively. Have never had one open on me inadvertently and have been using them for years for both tactical, everyday carry and hunting opportunities.

I needed a sheath for a 5.25" knife, which is just about the limit of what this sheath can fit. At that length, the knife sits a little more out of the sheath than I would have liked, but the Velcro closure allows for a very tight fit. So far, it hasn't slipped out and doesn't appear likely to.It sits rather high in the vertical position, about an inch over the top of my pants, and, unlike leather, the fabric is itchy, so not a good item if you like to shirtless. 'Course, you could wear it horizontally, but I found that to be unstable.Overall, a sturdy, good design, though I miss my old leather sheath (it came apart after many years).
