Norton crystalan 8” combination sharpening stone
Just bought the Norton crystalan 8” combination sharpening stone that’s corse on one side and fine on the other side. I ordered it on Wednesday and received it in the mail on Saturday and I’ve already sharpened with it several times now and I really like it so far does a really good job. I have an older carborundum 6” stone from the 1960’s also that’s identical to this stone and it still works great for being 60 years old. I just wanted to get the 8” version so it would be easier for sharpening bigger knives especially fixed blade knives. I also have the Norton India 8” combination sharpening stone that’s corse on one side and fine on the other and it works really well also. So now I have both and can use either one depending on the size and type of knife I’m sharpening. I would recommend the Norton sharpening stone to anyone who wants a good sharpening stone for knives without spending a ton of money for one.

New Norton Pike sharpening stone 8”
Have a older vintage carborundum brand sharpening stone that’s 6” combination sharpening stone and was made in Niagara Falls Ny my old carborundum stone is from the 1960’s and I actually found it at a yard sale for 20.00 back then brand new in the box and I actually still use it to this very day and now the old one stays at my camper and still gets knives razor sharp. So I decided to order the Norton 8” crystolyn combination sharpening stone and it’s a great stone I’ve already used it and the new one works no different than my older one from the 1960’s have a feeling the new one will definitely be a good one

Works fast
My Dad used one of these for years and I find it to be effective even on the better knife steel's being used today. Sharpened M4 did very nice, made short work removing the chips in my vg10 they had these on sale could not miss out on that.
