SLERV2SW: Revolve 2.0 Bit Driver - Stonewash

StraightLine EDC

Introducing the Revolve 2.0, the revolutionary tool that sets a new standard for efficiency and simplicity in bit drivers. By combining two iconic mechanisms - the revolver drum and a bolt action system - into one sleek design, Revolve 2.0 transforms the bit driver into a versatile, easy-to-use powerhouse.

At the heart of Revolve 2.0 is its unique bit selector, modeled after the drum of a revolver. Featuring a cutout on the side, this innovative design lets users see the bits they are choosing at a glance. With a simple twist, you can effortlessly switch between six different bits, just like rotating a revolver’s chamber, ensuring you always know which bit you’re selecting. No more juggling bits or clunky holders - Revolve 2.0 keeps everything secure, organized, and ready for action.

Adding to the tool's efficiency is the bolt action loading system, inspired by classic rifles. This intuitive feature allows you to rotate the drum to select your desired bit, and then push the bolt forward to lock it in place. When you're finished with that bit, simply pull the bolt back, choose another bit, or rest your Revolve 2.0 until the next task. This smooth, reliable action enhances ease of use, making bit changes quicker and less frustrating than traditional bit drivers.

But Revolve 2.0 isn’t just about function - it’s also about fun. The comfortable handle, paired with the Double Bearing System (DBS) rotation mechanism by Audacious Concept, provides a satisfying fidgeting experience, perfect for releasing stress when you're not using the tool. With its precision-engineered components, Revolve 2.0 promises durability and long-lasting performance for all your projects, from knives to gears and beyond.

What sets Revolve 2.0 apart from other bit drivers is its combination of cutting-edge design, superior functionality, and user-friendly experience. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a casual DIYer, Revolve 2.0 makes every task easier and more enjoyable.

Step into the future of bit drivers with the Revolve 2.0 - your new go-to tool for efficiency, ease, and a little bit of fun.

Cons: Overall Quality
Not Worth the Upgrade: Stick With the Revolve 1.0
I want to clarify that this 1-star rating is not a reflection of Knife Center’s service, but solely of the StraightLine EDC Igor Bortolussi Revolve 2.0 Bit Driver itself. Upon unboxing and testing the product, I found that the “bit barrel” was extremely stiff and harsh to open and close compared to the original 1.0 version. It’s possible I received a defective unit, but overall, the design changes in the 2.0 feel more like a downgrade than an upgrade. The locking bar that secures the bit barrel in the locked position doesn’t stay in place very well either while fidgeting with it, your hand can easily knock it loose. The only notable improvement I can mention about the 2.0 is the inclusion of a replacement spring for the driver. In my opinion, if you’re considering one of these, the 1.0 version is still the better choice. Just keep in mind that, at the end of the day, this is essentially a glorified fidget toy made with premium materials.

Cool idea, but impractical and poorly executed.
3 because the build quality is fantastic, but there’s zero retention for the bits when stowed. When bits are extended for use, there’s a little magnet tension holding them in place, but once you drop the bit back into the cylinder and angle the tool down they fall right out the front. You can rotate the cylinder to trap the bits inside but that’s a band-aid fix that should’ve been addressed in the final product, especially for its price. The little cylinder cut out that actually shows you which bit you have selected is inside the tool body and impossible to read without a flashlight. It’s a well built but overpriced fidget toy.
