The James Brand

The James Brand has redesigned the Ellis from the ground up, based on feedback from you, the customer. The newest feature being the addition of a pair of really nice scissors. The scissors have a very smooth and modern retention design that allow them to stand out from your grandpas old multi tool. If you can’t cut it with the Ellis's knife blade, you can almost assuredly cut it with scissors. Other features include a drop point blade with serrations, a combination bottle-opener and screwdriver, and the "All Things" scraper, pry and a bail loop for attaching to your keys, carabiner or backpack. The new Ellis also features a new deep-carry wire clip in a tip up, right hand carry option.

Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Handle Material, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip
Some good some bad
Wanted an edc with scissors. Got it. Knife blade, scissors, and tension spring are good for 2 of 5 possible stars. The rest not so good. G10 scales are very thin and the deep set screws leave very little for the narrow screw head to hold. Some models show a bigger screw head. The pocket clip is very stiff and tight against the textured scale... your pocket fabric will soon be frayed. The liners are very thin as well as skeletonized; not very supportive of the g10 or other plastic scales. Perhaps metal scale and bigger screw head is an improvement or a fix... but you can get a much better knife for a hundred bucks.
