The hollow-ground and satin-finished blade edge is sharp all the way down to its penetrating point. The sword has a curved minimalist hand guard of black-coated stainless steel. The blade is supported by an extremely grippy, injection-molded handle that has an inlaid cast metal and enamel-painted shield that has the Marine Force Recon logo.
