VSDA1907: Ankylo Flipper, 154CM - Green Aluminum

Vosteed Knives

The Vosteed Ankylo is a super fun and versatile flipper pocket knife that combines precision and playfulness. This flipper knife features a hard-coated matte finish and CNC-machined frag pattern for enhanced control and a secure grip, even in demanding environments. The precisely machined weight relief pockets reduce user fatigue while maintaining an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Double CNC chamfered corners add to the comfort and style, and a dedicated aluminum backspacer enhances durability and visual appeal.

With a 3.18" 154CM reverse tanto blade, the Ankylo excels in edge retention and corrosion resistance. Its reverse tanto blade shape and lightly curved belly are perfect for slicing and cutting. Despite its robust size, the Ankylo packs a punch, making it an ideal everyday carry that can get the job done without taking up your entire pocket. This model features a black stonewashed blade and green frag aluminum handles.

The Ankylo offers multiple opening options, including a back flipper, front flipper, blade cutout, and the sturdy Vanchor lock, which allows the blade to freely swing with the push of a button. While not specifically designed for left-handed/ambidextrous use, the Ankylo's innovative Vanchor lock can easily be actuated with either hand, allowing the reversible deep carry pocket clip to benefit lefties everywhere. For a truly finger-safe experience with tons of opening options, the Vosteed Ankylo has you covered.

Ankylo Elmax
this is my everday carry, basic cutting cardboard, rope, carpet, drywall ect. holds an edge great and takes a new edge quickly. I have 3 Vosteed Knifes, love them all. very pleased with the quality of this knife. action is great. thumb hole is perfect for reverse flick. front flipper and rear both work well but not as snappy as thumb hole. knife is a little heavy than im used too but it is still hardly noticable in the pocket. highly recommend this or any Vosteed. porcupine is next for me.

My fourth Vosteed!
Huge Vosteed fan and planning on a fifth purchase before Christmas! I really like the button-pivot action for opening and the short backflipper works fine. My only deduction is the thumb hole position seems out of position… to me anyway… and I can’t seem to master that flicking geometry. (I think it would have been more beneficial to use a thumb stud.) Now it’s still a very good knife design and I really like this Vanchor lock system. I’ll open it with the pivot button 95% of the time anyway so, it’s not really a big drawback. But I also am surprised at the inconsistency in closing. Sometimes it drops easily and sometimes not which, I think, is mainly on me to get used to the Vanchor magnetic system's “touch and feel." Practice makes perfect! It is also a heavier knife, and while I like that substantial solid feel, I am just spoiled now/in love with the Vosteed Marten in carbon fiber! Every tool has its time to shine and it’s time will come! So, I do not regret the purchase of this Ankylo. The quality and value is incredible with Vosteed knives, well done Vosteed!
