Great value - great product!
This is great little stone to have around, gives quick and decently polished edge even on hard carbon blade knives. As a gift it works like this: you give it to someone and they just say .. thank you.. thinking "just a stone...?.." and then after they use it they call you back, thanking and asking where they can get more. That is if they never tried using Arkansas stone..

Better than Good
This is a nice size and grade stone for field use even if you are tempted to go smaller. (Get the smaller one too!) It's a good 1/2 inch thick and DOES take up some space especially swaddled in rags. Mine has a chip off one of the short edges, but at this price, it's not a problem. I use el cheapo brand motor oil FTW. Don't know how these will perform on super exotic steels, may have to go to a 2 or 3 stone system for those. My blades are high carbon or plain vanilla stainless and these work fine. Thanks to KC for having a nice selection of these products!
