Survival Useful

I've used this as a spear-tip. Used like this, the gut-hook makes a nice barb to keep game from getting away, and as a general camp utility knife. It's made from the same steel as their Oso Negro, which is really tough. I've had mine for over 10 years. Hint: get it really sharp.

Long term....

I've had this knife for over 20 years, it's been around the world with me, it's been lost and found, stolen and returned, used and abused and has managed to stay more or less in my collection this whole time. I've broken the pry/flat-tip portion and just ground it back smooth I've also broken the tip off this knife as well, but a quick trip to the grinder rectified that. . I'll be grinding more of the handle away and rounding it into more of a hand friendly grip as well. It does NOT hold an edge well, but sharpens quickly. It's not easy to hold on to when your hands are cold and wet, but its other utilitarian uses make up for it's shortcomings. I have the OLD style sheath that is much better than the current one.
