Great ulu

Very sharp, easy for me to use with only one arm. If you are disabled from a stroke this is the knife for you.

Useful and practical

These knives are used by native people in Alaska and Greenland for a variety of tasks, including scanning, food prep, and others. The curved design of the blade allows repetitive cuts with a rocking motion which is perfect for long vegetables, like carrots and celery. This particular ulu is excellent. With a chisel grind it’s much like the traditional ulus are only sharpened on one side. Very importantly, the stock is not too thick which would ruin it. I got a bunch of these at home that are too thick to be practical. The price, the build quality, the sharpness are all first rate. I highly recommend it.

Alaska Magnum Ulu

I was rather dubious about this product but, purchased it none the less. It really is a quality blade. Its size will allow for many applications which only my imagination will curtail. So pleased I bought it. Perhaps I shall even buy a second. Excellent.

Absolute quality.

Prior to this I had never owned a knife from Knives of Alaska or an Ulu. I made this purchase out of curiosity and watching way too many YouTube videos on it to be honest. It came unbelievably sharp. The leather pouch was extremely stiff at first, but after it was worked in it worked just fine. I haven't used it terribly much, I more just wanted to own one due to the uniqueness in my collection, plus (at least to me) it's really rare to see a knife with D2 steel advertised as a kitchen knife. Overall it's very solid, I plan to use it more in the future. The only thing (and the only thing I am stating as a con) is that it may be difficult for non-sharpeners to get a good edge on it. I sharpen knives as a side business, so this one took me a minute before I understood the initial chisel grind.
