SERE 2020

I recently purchased the Mini SERE 2020 with the combo blade. There was a good sale on it I couldn’t pass up. I already had the plain blade version, so I figured why not get the one with the combo blade, too. They are very well made, pleasing to the eye sturdy knives! Can’t go wrong with an Al Mar knife!

Need Thumb Strength of Thor to Open This Knife

Nice sized knife. Even nicer sized packaging. Big is the word. I wanted to like this knife so much. For one is cool looking. The clip is tight which is also good. Shave your arm sharp. The liner lock is thick and strong. Its a thick knife, but not overly so. Its Achilles is opening the darn thing. It requires two hands. You can't get a grip on the blade to open it old school like your boy scout days. Its too smooth and there is no where to grip. The flipper is just too strong to open with my hand strength. Using two hands to open, the spring assist only opens it half way, your on your own for the rest. I want to like it, I am not returning it, and keep in mind, I am will also not be carrying it. Too hard to open, impossible to do so one handed.
