A must have!

I bought both the ALMAR eagle and falcon knives they are excellent, I use my knives wisely and take great care of them, I like how thin it is yet built solid,I would recommend AL MAR knives to anyone as they became another favorite of mine.

Alternative, stylish gentleman's carry

"Classic" is the perfect word for this knife, pairing enduring style with period materials. It reminds me of a Connery-era Bond car, like that 1964 Aston Martin. It features a distinctly pointed tip, combining a spear point profile with an angular swedge and sharp spine. Considering the materials, it's lightweight and thin, to ride discretely in your pocket. It will not do double-duty as a camp hatchet; it's a finesse knife, an alternative and stylish gentleman's carry, a true pleasure to swing open and use.

Timeless Classic

I’ve had my eye on an Al-Mar for a long time, but struggled to justify it in comparison to modern folders. While I may not carry it as much as others with a pocket clip, I’m happy to own it. This knife has so much character and charm, and not to mention the blade came very sharp and is a great slicer. The action is just fine for what it is. It’s become more of a dress knife for me, something to carry in a suit jacket pocket. Overall happy with the purchase!

I'd give it 5 stars, but...

This knife would get 5 stars if it weren't for one thing, the thumbstud(s). The quality is there, the fit and finish are great, the blade is sharp right out of the box, materials are top notch, and the pocket slip is a nice touch. That being said, the thumbstuds are... sharp. As if they forgot a final step at the factory. They also are wider than the bolster by about a millimeter on each side. It's enough of a distraction that I'll probably grind / file / sand / polish them so I can carry it more comfortably. I don't regret the purchase at all, and will probably get the larger (Eagle) size eventually. Good, solid, traditional EDC.
