Astounding!

I received my sharpening stone today and of course had to try it out ASAP. I used it on two of my Opinel pocket knives, both having carbon steel blades. After sharpening them for only five minutes each, they were both screamingly sharp. Like little pocket light sabers! I am really looking forward to trying this stone out on all my other knives.

Magnificent stone!

Where have you been all my life? This makes all your other fine-grit stones obsolete. The feel as you sharpen is out of this world, so smooth. If you keep sharpening, your knife keeps getting sharper; I haven't yet found its upper limit on sharpness. You want this stone. You need this stone. Buy this stone! Or jump straight to the large one.

Used as a Nagura Stone

I use this stone as a Nagura stone when I’m sharpening straight razors. I use just enough to generate a slight purple mud on the surface of the main honing stone. Then thin it down with water as the sharpening progresses. I’ve had good results with this method sharpening straight razors. I get an excellent result.
