I recently bought this product to augment my personal defense options in everyday situations and I have to say that I am fully satisfied with my purchase. ASP has done a superb job in developing this pepper spray unit. When used as an accessory on your key ring, the unit's slim profile and short length make it easy to stow in a pocket, or, as ASP suggests, tucking the unit in your waistband, leaving the keys hanging out. This is how I carry my ASP Palm Defender and I have found it easy to quickly draw the unit and ready it for use. The safety mechanism on the unit is quite good and easily disengages with light pressure from the thumb, but locks back with a reassuring click. The ejection port is on the bottom of the unit, allowing you to use the pepper spray, and also allows you to use the body of the unit as a baton to use your keys as a flail.
