The Most Rugged and Multifunctional Pepper Spray Product

Bought my first Key Defender 12 years ago. I can't say enough good things about them. They are lightweight, easy to carry, low profile and they hold up to daily abuse. This is not a cheap plastic pepper spray that can break when dropped. This unit is made of aerospace grade aluminum and another great feature is it's not just a pepper spray. You can use the end of the baton to strike the attacker and it has an integral key flail feature so you can slash your keys across the suspects eyes. I also like that you can't spray yourself with it because of the way it is designed. Refilling the unit is as easy as changing the battery in a flashlight. Highly recommend this unit.

Excellent Product

Straight to the reason I'm writing this, if you carry this slipped into your waistband, be sure not to point it at "sensitive areas" in the rare(I've carried mine this way for about 2 years), but proven to be possible(today), event that it is accidentally set off. While not debilitating, it does give a sensation of being kicked and mildly burnt, that can be alarming if you don't realise the cause. On the plus side, I can attest that this would be an effective deterrent, or at least a distraction. With it's ease of carry giving it optimal accessibility, as well as a much better way to carry keys than a pocket, there's not much that could compare to it, and can be carried any ware without raising eyebrows. I only wish it were a bit less durable so I'd have a reason to get the other colours, but I'm sure I'll find some logic to justify buying more(other than their intrinsic awesomeness of course)
