I bought these sheers to use with cutting metal for jewelry making. They are very sharp and I have cut up to 16 ga. metal, but that really pushes the limit. 20 ga and thinner is much more appropriate for these sheers. They will cut around edges without rolling the metal and leaves a nice crisp edge that needs very little filing or sanding. I would recommend these to jewelry makers looking for sharp sheers that will last a long time.
