Great pocket knife

I live on a small farm, and use a pocketknife daily. I abuse them. This is the second Bear knife I've owned, and they've both been superb. The take and hold an edge well. They're very rugged, and withstand abuse. They even look good. I do own larger and smaller knives, and far more expensive ones, but this is the one that is in my pocket daily for a reason--it is just right.

Nice and small

I use it as an always-on-me pocket knife and for hiking. It looks super nice, is simple and is well finished. I really like the liner lock. The blade is rather small and narrow, but just fine for what I use it for. I bought it to replace a Queen Mini Hunter that I lost. The Queen had a wider and slightly longer blade, and felt a little more sturdy and better, but the B&S is lighter to carry all the time. The price of the B&S convinced me: it is near perfect for the price and I won't feel as bad if I lose this one!

A good looker and it "walks and talks"

I'll give this one a 5, I bought it as a partner to my Bear Peanut. This one seems a bit higher quality than the Peanut; nothing wrong with the 'nut, just that it's a "working class" knife without "keep it in the drawer" pretensions. The 3.5" locking worker has excellent fit and finish on the scales and bolsters, with a high polish I didn't expect and will feel bad about scratching. The Rosewood is nicely polished and contoured -- better than my Peanut. The fit on the back isn't quite as perfect; like other Bear knives, you can tell it's hand made and that's just fine. This one also "walks and talks" with firm clicks as the blade is opened. It locks tightly and the blade and length is very useful -- not too long, not too short. Bottom line is that, like all Bear knives, this one is a good bargain. I'd even call it an exceptional bargain as you get more than you expected.

A great knife for daily chores around house or farm

I use this knife around our home and small farm. It replaced a favorite knife that I lost weeks ago; I bought this because I've owned a Bear Peanut for a decade or more, and it has served me well. So, this knife is well-made, nicely finished, and tough. It takes a fine edge, and holds it better than other low-cost pocketknives that I've owned over many years. I admit it: I abuse my pocketknives, but this one stands up well. When closed, the edges are smooth and rounded, so it won't rub a hole in your pocket. When open, it is a perfect size for all the little odds and ends that come up when you work around the house, yard, or farm. I have bigger knives, and smaller, but this one is "just right" 98% of the time.

Great pocket knife

This is my daily pocket knife, its the perfect size. I hardly know its there, it came sharp and I like that the blade locks. Over all I recommend this knife.
