Bone Barlow

Like this knife and have no complaints. I started collecting Barlows and this will be a perfect addition to my collection. These Bear and Son knifes are good quality knives. Made in USA doesn't hurt at all nevertheless I'm happy I got this one. Have another Bear and Son in my shopping cart ready to go. Buy it you'll like it.

Needed a Barlow --- bad.

I had a Barlow knife as a kid - carried it everywhere. I was young, and I don't think it was a very good knife. That didn't matter (at the time) - I loved the feel of that knife in my pocket and in my hands.. There was a bond that this knife created that has lasted all my life. I have carried a knife in my pocket ever since. So I got me a nice Barlow - not overly expensive or exotic - just a workhorse. I've made it my EDC and have carried it every day since I got it. It's my first Bear & Son knife and I am very impressed with the workmanship, Fairly sharp for a factory knife and I use both blades for any and all everyday chores. This knife is extremely comfortable - stag grips are superbe. I hardly know I am carrying it until the need arises.

BEAUTIFUL KNIFE

The craftsmanship on the knife from the grind of the blades to the deep grooves of the stag handle have made me a seeker of Bear and Son knives. It's simple beauty and sturdiness are unparalleled in my collection. Wonderful to see such a fine American made product!

Worth more than words...

A few weeks ago I purchased this for my son's birthday gift, to be doubled gifted with his Great Grandfather's old Case. He is enjoying it for a variety of uses and really likes the shape and stag quality handle. It was a symbolic gift of "right to passage" into a first step toward "manning" life. I assume that we will return for other future products due to his contentment demonstrated by verbalizing all of his favorites on KnifeCenter.com. (I secretly started my own wish list too after the prompt delivery of this handsome piece).

I to wanted to get a new barlow like I had, when I was a kid. when my barlow arrived, from knife center, I wasn't sure what I was going to get. upon opening my package, I was blown-away. bear and son hit the hammer right on the nail. when they, say they build 'em- tough, they build 'em-right, they a'int kidding . hat's off to bear and son, and of coarse knife-center. thank you all. ken s.

Nice knife for the money

My only complaint is a slight misalignment with the clip point blade, it stand proud. Other than that, excellent value.

Really close

Could have been great. Knife is beautiful but the fit and finish is poor. The scales don’t match the bolster on the corners very well. The scales pins were proud. I had to file 2 of them down. One pin stuck out a good 1/64 inch. Doesn’t sound like much but it caught in my fingers and hand. Maybe the dullest knife out of the box that I have ever bought. A little time on the sharp maker and I got a good working edge. High carbon steel? What exactly is that steel? 5 more minutes at the factory and it could have been great. Come on Bear and Sons do better. I shouldn’t have to finish your knife for you.
