For a couple of seasons, I've used for cleaning whitetail deer, hogs, etc. Everything is quality materials and workmanship. It's a looker and I love the edge this knife gets. The handle and bolster are quite secure and well crafted. This is a solid knife which I find easy to sharpen quickly and it does get very sharp. I sharpen a 17 degree edge. Since it's so easy, I usually sharpen after every hunt, but it holds a very good edge and would probably do several deer with an occasional quick edge touch up. The handle is attractive and while it appears a bit square-edged on the sides, it rides well on the belt and when I hold the knife during use, it lays in my hand naturally. The sheath is good looking and solidly constructed. Pick it up on sale and what else can I say? It's well worth it. Not a super steel, but gets the job done with style. No loose ends. Full recommendation from me, I bought another on sale for backup in case I lose one.
