Perfect Gentleman's EDC

I was looking for a small, light EDC to wear inconspicuously in an office environment. I'm a Benchmade fan-boy but willing to look "beyond the butterfly" for a quality blade. Found Bear Ops by accident. This little gem is perfect. Fit & finish are top-notch. Easily equal to Benchmade. Razor sharp out of the box. Simple design. No liner. Excellent grip and feel. The knurled pattern on the sides provides confidence when opening. I hold it with my fingertips, just under the clip, with a light press on the release providing a quick, satisfying snap as it opens. Once opened, the lock is rock solid. If I apply significant pressure side-side I can get a very slight movement but it won't budge in either the open or close directions. The only way to safely close it one handed is press the release and then push the blade into the handle with your leg. Again, the grippy sides really help here. The thin, deep pocket clip completely hides the knife. Just the clip shows, which could easily be taken for a pen. The clip attachment is recessed into the handle so there's nothing to snag as it glides into my pocket. At 9/32" thick it goes completely unnoticed. There's no jimping on the blade bit there are some large ones on the top and bottom of the handle where your index finger and thumb naturally fall. Simple, elegant and very well-made. This is my new favorite knife.

Nice

I'd give it a 5 star review but the open button, to me at least, is in a weird spot. It's not intuitive. Other than that it checks the boxes for size and blade length.
