Everything I've wanted

I want to preface this short review by saying I am not a "flipper". I know the basic opening and closing maneuver and that works for me. I am however a knife collector and user and this knife checks all the boxes. S35vn steel and a beautiful hollow grind make this a very functional, hair popping sharp, blade, slightly reminiscent of the blade on the Buck 110, but with a much more premium steel. The knife latch locks the knife solidly open and closed, like it should. Too many balisongs that are in the premium price range don't even come with latches, which I guess is fine if you are a flipper, but I want to carry and use mine, so a knife that stays closed in my pocket is absolutely necessary. Also, this bad boy has a pocket clip so I don't have to reach to the bottom of my pocket for it everytime I use it (first world problems). The latch is spring loaded to keep it out of the way, which it does. I personally would have designed it with a pin to keep the latch out of the way, instead of using a spring, but it works just fine. No worries. Lastly, I've had no problems with loose screws (although my ex wife would probably disagree). I have a EOS Trident and Kershaw Lucha and this Bear Song is my favorite. That's my two cents. Thanks for reading.

Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Lock Type, Overall Quality, Pocket Clip, Weight
Cons: Sheath

This is the Glock 19 of Bali song's

The engineering / design / craftsmanship is going to be the benchmark for others to try and surpass. Blade material - excellent - Blade grind, semetrical . Pivot screws large with bearings (smooth with zero blade play). The latch holds tight, deploys easily and the spring works as it should. The handles are flawless; machine tolerances are tight. This is a strong well-built piece of equipment you can be proud to own. You can spend more money on something else, but the basic function will be the same. I compare it to the Glock 19 because they share the same principal, strong well designed, will do the job without fail and should last a long time if taken care of. Also, I might add the clip puts the knife deep in the pocket so its concealed. Thank you, Bear & Sons, for a product of such quality........ USA -USA-USA.........
