Exellent Quality

This is a quality knife. 4" Barlow with walnut handle and 1095 carbon blade. The knife has a half stop, and the blade clicks firmly into place. No blade play, and the blade is sharp. The Barlow was Tom Sawyer's favorite knife. He would have really liked this one. I have bought several Bear knives, and I am pleased with all of them. I highly recommend this knife. Made in the U.S.A.

An excellent knife for the money

For carbon steel lovers, you are getting 1095 here, so very hard to beat for the price. The sheepsfoot blade is so practical for EDC tasks, that I use it to cut leather, gardening, opening packages, and breaking down boxes. Note that the portion near the tip has an almost non-perceivable upswept, so it is not strictly a coping shape, but works well as one. The stabilized (resin impregnated?) walnut wood verneered handle feels warm and smooth to the touch. I am quite impressed with the level of fit and finish, and I especially like the swedge ground into the tip. The action is great with crisp half-stops comparable to a CASE costing twice as much. Mirror-polished blade, nickel silver bolsters and pins. Should you own one? My advice is buy 2 of them.
