Great EDC

I just opened the box and took a gander at this knife, and I am very much impressed, so far. The fit and finish are superb, and the spring tension is good and firm. The grinds are even, and the knife came out of the box reasonably sharp. The whole knife has a nice feel to the hand, so I am looking forward to using it to see how it performs / stand up. Like a lot of users, I got the knife for the carbon steel blades, and if they hold up like they should, this will be a real bargain knife.

Excellent Steel and Just the Right Size

I like 1095 Carbon Steel and this knife does not disappoint. Just the right size to carry in front pocket and to use for daily chores. USA made and carbon steel. Hard to complain. I like this knife.

Sharp knife!

This is an everyday carry knife. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. I weighed it on a postage scale & it is 2.8 oz. Just under 4" closed & just under 8" open. I got it for the 1095 blade steel & could not be happier. Tough, easy to sharpen & gets really sharp. It just needs attending to because 1095 will rust or discolor if you don't keep it oiled. The knife is really handsome. I like to use my knives but if you wanted to collect these, Bear & Son knives are not so expensive you couldn't buy two. One to use & one to save. The knife is made very well. The springs are strong and snap the blades into place when opening & closing. The bolsters are shiny, the yellow Delrin scales attractive, the rivets smooth, and the steel blades well polished. I have several Bear & Son knives and will buy some more.

I do art workand caarving, prefer carbon steel lades to stain less. Carbon steel gives a sharp, burrles, edge, which can be kept , in a keen state.Just afew wipes on ,the water stone, does the trick!
