Good Old Carbon Steel
I still like good old carbon steel for an every day carry knife and this one fills the bill. Beautiful bone and a few licks on the ceramic sticks and it's razor sharp

I pass these knives out to rancher friends at Christmas, where they are used to cut rope or castrate calves in the branding corral. The best feature is the carbon steel blade, which sharpens with just a few licks on the whet stone. They have a nice look with the bone handle and fit in your pocket without gouging a hole in your thigh.

Mine was over ground and not much steel left.
I was really looking forward to getting an old fashioned carbon steel knife like my grandfather carried. Imagine my shock upon opening the box and the knife looked like my granddad's knife after being carried and sharpened for 35 years. There was not much left of the blades. The 2nd star was for Knife Center's prompt and hassle free refund policy. It is hard to open and needs a bit of breaking in.
