Something a little different
Visually, it's interesting and a little unconventional. The slab sides and exposed hardware give this knife a more utilitarian look compared to Bear's classic barlow. But the fine satin finish on the bolster, liners and backspring give a nice contrast to the matte black blade and lightly textured G10, giving it a touch of class. The pictures don't really show that. Sharpness, centering, walk and talk are all identical to my classic barlow - all very good at this price. The overall presentation comes across as less delicate, and as a result this one spends more time in my pocket than the slicker, fully polished versions. Highly recommended, especially if you plan to put these to regular use.
