Bad Balisong, Awesome workhorse

So I bought this knife with a coated handle about 12 years ago. It was my first butterfly knife and I knew immediately that it was horribly off balance. BUT LETS TALK ABOUT WHY ITS OFF BALANCE. This blade is built like a tank. I used it as an EDC knife in Alaska and 3 or 4 years ago when Oklahoma legalized balisongs, it resumed its EDC status. It cut through plastics, cardboard, wood, against concrete, tile, and metal. I’ve used it like a pry-tool. A scraper. A slotted screwdriver. A hammer. The coating has started to chip but the blade has no chips and the tip is still intact. Hell. It’s still passably sharp and I’ve never taken it to a sharpener of any type. In short: This knife is not elegant. But it is one hell of a tool. Would buy again if it wasn’t still going strong.

Cons: Handle Feel

Pleased so far with this product!

I purchased this knife to use instead of my vintage pacific cutlery Bali song. I wouldn’t say that I am an expert but I am very experienced. I have been using benchmade butterfly knives for about 20 years now and this knife performs well in comparison! The handle to blade weight is great and the action is very smooth so far. I don’t give a *** about the blade, as I want it dull as can be. I throw the knife in the air and catch it in a variety of ways when practicing so I don’t like getting stabbed. The only complaint is the polished finish on the handles. They become slick after a good half hour of practice. Other than that, I have dropped the knife hundreds of times and it still works great!

Incomplete description

Details I would have wanted to know before buying. It has a chisel grind. Everything else is great about this balisong except for the edge grind. Knifecenter neglected to mention that in the description.
