This little thing is expertly designed.
First things first, let's address some issues that makers never really touch upon: the finger ring. All my life, it has been a problem for me to find a karambit that fit comfortably on my pointer finger. I wear size 15.5 ring on that finger. This little savage comes very close. I would say that if I had to estimate a "ring size", for the finger hole, my best guess would be that it is approximately a size US 15 in ring. I hope that helps anybody who had a question about that. Now, onto the construction, steel, and fit and finish. The construction of this thing is amazing. The sheath that it comes with is completely awesome. It is made of Kydex, and it clicks in with such retention that it will never shake loose. That is an impossibility. The construction is very well-made. It is all one piece, and completely solid. What I will say about it, is that it is a lot lighter in weight then you would think it is. When I got it in my hand, it felt like there was nothing there. This little guy will do maximum damage, and you're barely even notice it in your hand. As far as the steel, which you'd N690Co, which is a stainless steel, it has amazing and retention. It keeps a very nice fine edge, but it reminds me very much of S30V steel. It's very tough and durable, but as I said before, lightweight and wicked. This is probably not an EDC blade, for average tasks, but I would definitely state that it is an EXCEPTIONAL EDC blade for self/life defense. Lastly, I would like to comment that the designer, Doug Marcaida, a lifelong Kali practitioner, and friend of another karambit master, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo, did an amazing job designing this. You'll know Doug as one of the judges on History Channel's "Forged in Fire". He also does a lot of work on YouTube for the FunkerTactical channel. I strongly recommend that you watch and listen to some of those videos, because this man knows in great detail what to do and how to use a karambit, and he designed one of the most perfect ones I've ever seen. That's coming from someone who has over 40 karambit, including some "great" ones. This is a 5-star item. I strongly recommend it. The only thing I'll warn you about is that it will be a very tight fit if you have beefy hands, but it won't take anything away from it's effectiveness.
