Like the other review said, this is not a knife for beginners. The heft on this knife is amazing. It's no joke. I agree with the other review (again) that you could put this in a survival kit. It is super sharp right out of the box, has great build quality, and feels sturdy enough to take on a bear (please don't). I choose this knife based on the other review, and I'm okay I did. It's exactly what I was looking for. I'm very happy work my purchase.
