Worth more than they sell it for!

A US made Benchmade Mel Pardue wilderness knife with a great leather sheath for under $55- Benchmade really undervalued this thing! The knife is thick and strong but not overly heavy and cuts really well. 440C is the steel used by Randall and Puma, so for this price it's a homerun. Excellent bushcraft knife for the money!

I'm a police officer, I often carry this blade as a backup to my pistol off duty. I feel it fills this role very well. It is a good backup blade that handles EDC tasks well. It is stainless steel--I prefer carbon steels, but feel that stainless steel is acceptable in a knife this size. If this knife were any larger, I would think that stainless would bee too brittle. So far it has good edge retention and it gets lots of belt time with me. The sheath is excellent and fits a BDU belt. I feel that this knife is actually worth a whole lot more than the retail price. A great bargain, I use it lots.
