Great knife, terrible sheath
S90V is a great steel and unlike 3 other Benchmade knives that I own came very sharp out of the box. I wanted to use it as an EDC neck knife, but the sheath is no good. The blade constantly carves into the sides of it, chipping the material. The opening of the sheath is too thick and uncomfortable. The knife itself is very good. The only small issue is the edges of the tang are not crowned enough. You can fill them sharp if holding the knife without a glove.

Beautiful Knife
The knife is fantastic. The sheath is garbage. Do better Benchmade. You sell high quality knives and then put them in junky sheaths. Makes no sense. Glad I have the knife, but will have to spend more to get a sheath that doesn’t catch my blade every time. Would be a 5 star otherwise.

Great Knife, Garbage Sheath
I purchased this as a lightweight fixed blade for hiking and backpacking and it’s fantastic in that role. The knife arrived razor sharp and the S90V steel means it’ll stay that way for a while. Fits my large hand surprisingly well. Great blade geometry for everything from food prep to (light) wood processing like whittling and prepping kindling. The one major negative is the sheath. Retention is poor and fit is questionable - every time I draw the knife, bits of sheath are present on the blade. I’d recommend an aftermarket sheath from Armatus Carry Solutions.
