i have a few benchmade but this one became my all time favorite knife. smooth and razor sharp. strong with zero wiggle that most otf have. a lot of money but a lot of knife. a very wise choice when your life might depend on it.

Love the action of the blade! The "traction" on the handle is awesome. The blade is sharpened off center, more like a beveled edge. Overall great knife for self defense carry, the thin dagger point isn't practical for EDC.

The knife works perfect, fits great in my pocket, deploys/retracts the blade fast. Very sharp for a factory grind blade. Reasonably quiet when deployed.

This is one hell of a knife! Every time I pick it up I just smile, if you see someone leaving a negative review then they most likely have a fake Infidel! There is no blade wiggle or excessive play.

I carry my infadell every day and love it. The spring tension is by far easier than my other o.t.f. knives plus I love the fact it is made in USA . I would not Cary any other o.t.f. after having my infadell. Blade is sharpend off center but I check the other knives and they where all the same , not sure why they do that on this knife

I bought the bench made infidel years ago
As with all automatic especially OTFs. You have to be meticulous about the upkeep and cleaning. The bench made tool kit and lubricating Blue Lube Has served me well throughout the years. If It is a daily carry I would suggest at least a weekly cleaning And quick sharpening and this knife will last you a lifetime.

Just bought one of these at Blade Show in Atlanta. To say i'm impressed would be a understatement! Knife Center has this guy at a great price... just buy it! You won't be disappointed. For self defense, it's great provided it's legal to carry in your state. Check local laws.

First Impressions
Ordered this for edc carry. As usual came quickly from KC and nicely packaged. Have an ultratech off which I like but wanted something a bit larger. I initially ordered another Microtech; a combat troodon, when I saw it available at KC. It’s a very nice and wicked sharp otf which I expected great things from however after just 5 days it started misfiring and rattling badly so disappointedly I sent it back. I did some more research and the Infidel kept coming up at the top of many reviews by both individuals and knife publications so I took a chance and ordered it. Once again it arrived quickly from KC. It comes with a molle compatible sheath and the attachment for mounting. The black aluminum handle is nicely shaped and is comfortable in multiple hand grips. It has a “powdery” feeling which is pleasant to the touch and seems to make it glide smoothly in and out of pockets. There is some jimping on the handle below the large slide actuator making it feel even more secure in hand. I also like the placement of the slide on the face/flat side of the handle where your thumb naturally sits. The deployment of the blade is intuitive with this placement and makes a satisfying thwack when the blade is deployed or retracted. The blade itself is extremely sharp and pointy and pierces and slices nicely. The bade is centered, no rattling, or wobbling up/down or side to side when deployed. With nearly 4 inches of D2 steel this is a formidable piece of equipment when used properly. Only con so far is the large Infidel branding on the pocket clip. It also should come with one of the modern super steels, especially at this price point imho.

I have always wanted to buy a Microtech combat troodon until one day I saw a review on Knifecenter about the Benchmade Infidel whose trigger is as smooth as butter. When I was using Ultratech, I learned that their triggers were very hard, and I believed that the Combat troodon would be harder, so I decided to buy an Infidel and give it a try. Knifecenter selected a flawless Infidel for me and sent it to me as quickly as possible. They are a good online knife company, so I have always trusted them.

I got a bad one
At first it was very difficult to close. I sent it to Benchmade and it came back with nothing changed. I opened it and closed it. Maybe 100 times and it finally got a little bit easier to close but then it was really loose and started to rattle.

Disappointing
Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Feel, Blade Material Cons: Overall Quality Disappointed Saw this in stock at KC and ordered it immediately. As usual, great service from KC, ordered on Thursday and arrived on Saturday. Nicely packaged with all the Microtech materials, inspection certificate, and a little claw decal. Blade jumps out with a forward slide on the actuator and retracts just as quickly with a backward pull. Blade very sharp and pointy. Seemed like it was put together well. That’s where the good stopped. Have the knife for about 5 days now and the blade is now loose and wobbly and rattling like crazy. Have not done anything except to try some paper cuts just to check initial sharpness. Have only deployed and retracted the blade about 10-15 times. I own three other Microtech knives and have had no issues with any of them ( including another OTF ). I am extremely disappointed with this one however and it’s going back.

Great looking knife but the knife blade stinks wiggles side to slide up and down the knife was never used to cut anything only opened and closed the blade 8 or 9 times =junk I also bought a Claymore with the same problem so 800.00 for 2 knives that have to go back to the factory.

I bought this as an emergency self-defense weapon, which is what it’s designed for. It fires (opens) successfully about 50% of the time. This renders it useless and unreliable for its intended purpose. Never again.
